Method of use: The liquid should be taken undiluted in the morning, (at midday) and in the evening. Can be taken with or without food.
For Prospan F Cough Syrup in 5 ml stick pack: The patient has chosen to use a stick pack that can be opened easily. Its content is also easy to take. Refer to instruction as follows.
Gently knead the stick pack before use.
Hold the stick pack firmly and tear it open.
Swallow the medicine, squeezing the stick pack until empty.
For Prospan F Cough Syrup in 100 ml bottle: Use encosed measuring cup. Shake well before use.
Length of treatment is dependent on the nature and severity of patient's condition. However, even in the case of mild inflammation of the respiratory tract, treatment should last for one week at least. In the interests of ensuring that patient's recovery is permanent and complete, it is recommended that the patient should keep taking Prospan for another 2-3 days after the patient's symptoms have disappeared. If the patient has the impression that the effect of Prospan F Cough Syrup is too strong or too weak, talk to a doctor or pharmacist.
If the patient takes more Prospan F Cough Syrup than they should: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Ingestion of significantly higher amounts (more than three times the daily dose) may lead to nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. In this case patient should consult a doctor.
If the patient forgets to take Prospan F Cough Syrup: Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Simply continue to take Prospan F Cough Syrup as prescribed by a doctor or as directed.
